Pellaud nipped by Morton at Transcodilleras, Easter 3rd

LTGP rookie Simon Pellaud matches race favorite Lachlan Morton over a brutal, 1st of 8 stages. Almost 4000m of climbing only to miss out in a bike throw. Maybe a 1st in competitive bikepacking, it shows Pellaud’s home country advantage but also Morton’s mastery of ultradistance cycling. Griffin Easter, last year’s overall winner took 3rd.
